HOMESCHOOL DAY AT GREAT AMERICA & FIELD MUSEUM IN CHICAGO

BOY DID WE HAVE FUN!!

We left on Wednesday last week for Chicago. We stopped first at Bass Pro in Bolingbrook. Daddy bought Anna a new fishing pole. She has really been wanting one. The other girls got a new little Scooby Doo tackle box. Daddy got a new deer shirt and some hunting accesories for this fall.

We finally got to enjoy dinner at The Rainforest Cafe. We really enjoyed that! Wes and Anna had never been there, and we lucked out, as it was kids night! Kids eat for 1.99, compared to their normal 6.99 dinners. Emily and Amelia were not afraid of the thunder and lightening inside this time, and nobody fell off their chair!! (last time we ate there, Emily fell off her chair 3 times) We finished eating in time to shop at Gurnee Mills a bit too.

Homeschool Day at Great America was sure different this year. There was only about a third of the people there who normally attend. We were able to walk right onto any ride we wanted, no waiting at all! Even for the big rides like Raging Bull, in fact, you could just stay in your seat and ride again! Once was enough for me, but it was perfect for the kids. They have a new section of WIGGLES rides, and they were able to stay on those rides multiple times. It was fun to enjoy some of the rides together as a family too, as Amelia is old enough to ride a few with us.
