A PAWS FOR READING

We love our local library. The girls have taken writing classes, speech classes, reading times, origami class and now they scheduled a fun day of "reading" to special dogs. It is called A PAWS TO READ and is sponsored by the Humane Society. The owners take these dogs to the Children's Home, to Old Folks Homes and to reading programs at area libraries.

The owners all brought different dogs for the girls to read to. They each got 15 minutes with a dog of their choice. The doggies were so sweet, and they actually listened to the books, snuggled on the girls' laps, and wagged their tails.

This is ELI, he is a Newfoundland, and the BIGGEST DOG we have EVER seen!!

Anna read her book to CHESTER. He wagged his tail and was SO CUTE!!

This is SARAH. She is an Australian Shepherd/Border Collie Mix. She was my favorite too!

Here she is giving Elaine "a high Five"
